Sweet Shade Farm
Nestled in an avocado orchard, Jeff designed the house at Sweet Shade Farm based on hay barns and farm buildings. The house is full of natural light provided by large doors and windows that are meant to be kept open during the day to take advantage of Santa Barbara's temperate climate and provide fresh breezes. The siding, beams, rafter and joists are all reclaimed wood, and the first floor is wood-framed and adobe brick, with the adobe made on site.
